WHY UQPN?

I am deeply passionate about professional development and building meaningful and lasting relationships in my professional life. I thrive on connecting with others, solving complex problems, and using both my interpersonal and strategic business skills to create sustainable, positive change. I have a strong background in events management, having successfully coordinated and delivered a wide range of engagement initiatives, information sessions, and outreach programs. Since joining the University of Queensland's professional staff in 2022, I am continually inspired by the impact that higher education can have on individuals and communities alike.

EXPERIENCE

With several years of experience in the Australian higher education sector, I bring a strong background in student recruitment, cohort management, and regulatory compliance. Currently, I serve as a Future Student Recruitment and Contact Officer within UQ’s Future Students Division. In this role, I engage with prospective students from diverse backgrounds, providing guidance, support, and information to help them navigate their academic pathways. My work is driven by a commitment to student success and equity, ensuring that every individual feels seen, supported, and empowered to achieve their goals.

Academically, I have a strong foundation in both the sciences and the humanities. I hold a Bachelor of Science with a major in Physics and am currently pursuing a Master of Global Studies with a focus on Development. My academic interests lie at the intersection of astrophysics, international business, and political science: areas that challenge me to think critically about the systems and structures that govern our planet.

Beyond my professional and academic pursuits, I am deeply committed to advocacy and social entrepreneurship. I believe in the power of innovative thinking, inclusive dialogue, and purpose-driven action to create a more equitable and just society. Whether it’s through mentoring, community engagement, or championing causes I care about, I strive to lead with empathy, curiosity, and integrity in everything I do.
