WHY UQPN?
I joined the UQ Professionals Network because I’m passionate about giving back to the UQ community and supporting the professional growth of others. I strongly believe in the power of professional development to shape fulfilling, sustainable careers and to build a connected, capable professional workforce across the University.
I am currently the Strategy Engagement and Development Manager with UQPN, working closely with the Oversight Committee to provide strategic leadership across the network’s learning and development portfolio. In this role, I help shape engagement priorities and ensure our development initiatives are relevant, inclusive, and impactful for UQ’s professional staff. I also collaborate closely with campus leads at Gatton and Herston, as well as with UQ colleagues and external stakeholders, to strengthen reach, consistency, and value across campuses.
In 2025, I successfully led the UQPN Mentor Me program, delivering a significant redesign that strengthened program structure, increased engagement, and improved participant satisfaction. This work reinforced the importance of evidence‑informed design, and meaningful connection in professional development initiatives and continues to inform my strategic work within UQPN.
EXPERIENC
Prior to joining UQ, I worked for several years as a Careers Advisor in the international education organisation, where I developed a strong foundation in career development, guidance, and employability support. I have also volunteered as a Careers Office Coordinator and led a successful CV clinic program, experiences that further solidified my commitment to helping individuals navigate and progress their careers.
In my current role at UQ, I facilitate professional education programs at the Minerals Industry Safety and Health Centre (MISHC) within the Sustainable Minerals Institute, where I work at the intersection of learning design, stakeholder engagement, and capability development. Together with my UQPN roles, this allows me to contribute both strategically and practically to professional learning and development across the University.
