EXPERIENCE
With a long-standing career at UQ, I have spent most of my time working in Student and Academic Administration, with experience in the Student Centre and UQ Health Service. Prior to UQ, I was employed as a medical secretary and receptionist.
Up until a few years ago, I was a specialist in Student and Academic Administration before transitioning into a leadership role, where I was responsible for a large and diverse portfolio of up to 50 staff across two campuses. This shift has given me the opportunity to collaborate more broadly and contribute to shaping meaningful experiences for both staff and students. I am passionate about authentic leadership in the workplace and fostering a culture that is safe, respectful and inclusive.
I’m a lifelong learner at heart and love expanding my knowledge through reading, listening to podcasts, and journaling. I am studying a Diploma in Project Management with the aim of improving change management practices within the organisation.
Outside of work, I thoroughly enjoy getting out into nature—camping, traveling, and exploring different cultures and cuisines. Most of all, I cherish spending time with my family, friends and pets, making memories and sharing experiences.
