WHY UQPN?
UQPN is more than a network – it's a community that empowers, connects, and uplifts professional staff across UQ. I joined UQPN to help build a culture where people feel seen, supported, and inspired to grow. Through initiatives like MentorMe and the Annual Conference, we create spaces for learning, collaboration, and meaningful connection. UQPN’s peer-led model is powerful – it allows us to shape our own professional journeys while contributing to something bigger than ourselves.
EXPERIENCE
I’m an experienced professional in Research and Operations Administration with a proven track record in the higher education sector. In my current role as Senior Awards Officer, I lead the post-award management of funded research projects, ensuring alignment with funding requirements and institutional policies. My responsibilities include overseeing project compliance, monitoring budgets, facilitating effective stakeholder communication, and providing strategic administrative support to enable the successful delivery of research agreements.
Since joining UQPN in 2022, I’ve had the privilege of contributing to its strategic and operational success—from co-leading the Emerging Professionals portfolio to managing flagship programs like MentorMe and the Annual Conference. My background in research administration and governance, combined with a passion for inclusive leadership, has equipped me to support UQPN’s mission with clarity and purpose. As Acting Vice-President and a founding member of the Oversight Committee, I’ve helped shape frameworks that strengthen our impact and sustainability.
