EXPERIENCE
I’m a professional administrator with experience in higher degree by research, undergraduate internships, and event management. My qualifications include a Bachelor of Business in Management and e-Business from James Cook University. Before starting at UQ, I worked in Thesis Examination at Queensland University of Technology, and prior to that I worked at James Cook University across various units for seven years including international admissions, graduate research, and governance.
In my current role within the Graduate School, I support the Admissions and Scholarships team with application processing, scholarship maintenance, and pre-award and post-award support for NHMRC PGS. I currently sit on the Graduate School’s Staff Consultative Committee, the Social Committee, and I’m the elected Health and Safety Representative.
Outside of work life I’m part of a policy subcommittee for the Australian Flying Disc Association, which is the national sporting organisation for Ultimate Frisbee. It’s through this sport that most of my event management experience comes from by hosting tournaments across 4 days for 450 athletes. This culminated in becoming the Results Manager for the u24’s World Championships that was hosted in Perth in 2018.
