Do you ever feel like you’re drowning in data or wishing you had more? This session will show you how to use data to enhance your business processes.
We’ll start by mapping out the UQ data landscape and how you can access the information you need. Next, we’ll explore how to use Reportal (Business Objects) to extract and analyse data effectively. Finally, we’ll look at examples from here at UQ of how data-driven approaches can streamline workflows and improve decision-making.

Speaker
Alexander Civil | Senior Evaluations Officer, Student Surveys and Evaluations Team (SSET)
Alex is the Senior Evaluations Officer at The University of Queensland. He has a flair for data and student feedback, as well as a panache for driving innovation.
He is responsible for preparing, processing and reporting on standard quality assurance instruments including SECaTs, SETutor, and the subsequent reporting to the UQ community. He also serves as the primary contact for inquiries related to SSET policies, production, and system issues.
Alex has a Bachelor of Science (Honours) majoring in Physics and a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Japanese both completed at The University of Queensland.
Alex will also be joined by special guest Janice Kovacich, Business Intelligence Analyst, Planning and Business Intelligence.
